Outlook 2010 provides you with a standardized interface where you can manage your business schedule, customer contacts and, of course, emails all in one location. Once Outlook is configured for your webmail account, you can sync between Outlook and your browser-based webmail account. If you have a Windows Live Hotmail account, which ends in '@hotmail.com,' then to configure Outlook, you must first download and install Microsoft Outlook Connector. If you have a non-Microsoft webmail provider, such as Yahoo or GMail, you can simply use the basic Outlook setup. If you've already configured Outlook for your email account, you can force synchronization with your webmail account at any time.
Outlook Connector
1.Download the Microsoft Outlook Connector software for your Windows Live account from Microsoft's Download Center. Other email accounts, such as those that end in '@gmail.com' or '@yahoo.com,' do not require this software.
2.Double-click the 'OutlookConnector' file you downloaded to run it. Step through the installation of the Outlook Connector program using its default settings.

Close Outlook if it is currently open. The Outlook Connector software will not work properly until you restart Outlook.
Basic Setup
2.Begin the 'Add New Account' process. If no email accounts exist in Outlook or if you just installed the Microsoft Hotmail Connector, a prompt launches to open the 'Add New Account' window. If no prompts appear, click the 'File' tab and select 'Add account.'
3.Fill in your name, email address and password in the Add New Account window, if necessary. This information may already be displayed, based on your Windows settings. If the information you see is incorrect, you can delete it and type the correct information.

Synchronization
3.Click the 'Send/Receive All Folders' button. Outlook will immediately begin synchronizing with your webmail account online.
Tip
- You can configure the automatic synchronization process for Outlook by clicking the 'Send/Receive Groups' drop-down menu beside the 'Send/Receive All Folders' button. In the drop-down menu, you can select 'Define Send/Receive Groups' to configure different email accounts, defined as 'Groups.' If you have only one account in Outlook, you will use the 'All Accounts' group.
